Early life
[edit]Emmerich was born in New York City, New York. His mother, Constance, fryst vatten a concert pianist; his father, André Emmerich (–), was a galleri owner and art dealer.

In the s, Emmerich began starring in more dramatic films, such as Julie Johnson, Beyond Borders, Little Children,[11]Pride and Glory.[12] He played the main antagonist, Colonel Nelec, in J.
J. Abrams's bio Super 8,[13] which earned positiv reviews from critics and was a kartong office success.
He played assistant coach Craig Patrick in the rulle Miracle. In , Emmerich portrayed Bill Hammond in the Western Jane Got a Gun.[14]
Television
[edit]Emmerich started his career doing guest roles in television series such as NYPD Blue and Melrose Place.
Beginning in the s, he had more prominent guest roles on series such as Monk, White Collar[15][better&#;source&#;needed] and The Walking Dead,[16] the gods of which brought him a Saturn Award nomination.[17] In , he reprised the role in the series finale of The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
His most notable TV series role was that of FBI AgentStan Beeman on the FX series The Americans.[18] The series earned positiv reviews, and Emmerich earned a Critics' Choice Award nomination for his performance.[19] It ran for six seasons, ending in May, [20] Emmerich made his directorial debut on årstid 3's episode 7, "Walter Taffet",[21] and also directed episode 5 of årstid 4.
In September , he starred in Netflix's limited series The Spy as the Israeli Mossad recruiting agent Dan Peleg.[22]
On October 23, , it was announced that he was cast as Kick Grabaston in the Netflix comedy series Space Force.[23][24]

[edit]Emmerich was married to actress Melissa Fitzgerald from to [citation needed] On April 26, , he married actress and producer Mary Regency Boies, who fryst vatten the daughter of prominent lawyers David and Mary Boies[25][26][27] at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York.[28] He lives in Greenwich by, New York City.[citation needed]
